Good Bye Good Bye

So I knew I knew I didn’t know her in the short time we danced. I liked your moves from accoss the dance tent. You caught my eye and I pulled the brim of my fedora down and I went to you. The moments our eyes met, we both had that deep smile that you get when you can be content. The chemical reaction was one in which you were alert but relaxed. The Dj was jamming that house that you weren’t exactly what era it was from, jamming though, people losing it all around us. The lights from the stage dancing in your light eyes. You were doing that I think it was a hot variation of the jerk I think. She would smile when she danced her eyes Wide with joy. i was doing my dance which had been vastly improved over my intense Techno bootcamp. We danced and it happened than of all things but the fireworks start going off. I couldn’t believe it, at that point I recall myself laughing my ass off. We kept dancing till your freinds came stumbling by and you were obligated to go with them. As you left I watched you till you disappeared into the crowd, and my friends came up. How or what could I say. Nothing. Was what I said, but my smile, which said it all.

I Walk Away

You know people always ask me about my stories, why I have so many stories. Well its simple, I walk away.

When things are no longer cool I walk away. I have done it my whole life.

I lived and left more lives than people wish they could live.

I don’t know if its that one drop of Gypsy Irish blood I have in me, or the mad Chilean who traveled the world. I had the

antsy, less so than either my Costa Rican or Swiss brother. But I have to move.

If you don’t show me respect I’m out. I don’t do one way relationships.

I take but I give as well.

I am at that spot again, its getting Witness Protection mode again. Its almost time for me to go underground again.

In highschool peeople assumed I was locked up. When in my late teens I disappeared they assumed I was dead. That makes me

smile.

Women, I don’t have to waste your time or mine. If you want a laydown man it ain’t me babe.

Nope that won’t happen to me. If I do it is because I chose to do it. One of the jobs I left told me they could ship me

anywhere in the state, I had no say. I said not no, but hell no. I had been in the Army and they told me where to go

when to be.

Nobody will tell me nor will it matter, I walk away.

I am a truthful man from the city by the lake.
I am a truehearted man from the city by the lake.
I am a man who has known pain, joy, and loss.
Before I lay down my life, I long to sing the songs
of my soul.

A hot shot sent her on.

I grew a rose in spring that dies in winter.
I plant a rose for my open hearted friend.

Who left it all on an alter

My verse is a wounded deer looking for the comfort of the forest.

The Tiger and The Butterfly

The old tiger sat on his rock like any other day
Today was differant
The Old Tiger saw the most beautiful butterfly
A Butterfly with emerald green and Bright Red and gold wings
The tiger was at first was mesmorized as it floated by
He had never seen anything so beautiful
His heart raced
His whiskers tingled
He had to have it
He got up from his perch
and he lept to where he had last seen it
The butterfly was wise
The Butterfly was not going to let an old tiger catch it
It flew on to a branch
The tiger lost track of the butterfly
The tiger was now panicked
He had to have the butterfly
He couldn’t smell it
Couldn’t see it
The Butterfly looked down at the tiger
Not with contempt but pity
Poor Tiger the Butterfly thought
The butterfly knew that Tigers belonged with Tigers
The butterfly saw the old tiger and saw
what he must have been
A fierce strong beast
Those days had passed
The Tiger never saw the butterfly again
But till the end of its days the Tiger cherished its memory of the most beautiful butterfly it had ever seen
