People in big cities around the world spend a lot of time in traffic. Maybe not so much in Taipei because of our amazing public transport system and the fact that the city is so compact, being squished in between a couple of surrounding mountains as it is.
It is a scooter city though. Buses cabs and trucks might not be willing to admit it all the time, ignoring smaller vehicles as they tend to do, but the humble scooter reigns supreme on most streets here.
I have one that I bought for less than I should have and then replaced the engine later for more than the original thing went for in the first place.
